The Keiem weather station

Weather station

🌦️ No more guessing: Keiem has its own weather station!

Tired of the weather app saying it's dry while you're practically being washed away outside? Polder weather simply does whatever it likes.

Instead of complaining, I took the only logical step for a tech nerd: I set up my own weather station, with real-time data from my back garden in Keiem.

💻 The setup
The brain: everything runs locally on WeeWX, the ultimate open-source software for this kind of project.

The sensors: wind direction, wind speed, rainfall, temperature and humidity are recorded continuously.

The philosophy: no ads, no trackers. Just pure, raw data straight from the polders.

🔍 Where can you find the live data?
Whether you want to know if the washing will stay dry, if the wind is right for a run, or if you need that extra jumper:

Bookmark weer.keiem.be for the real-time dashboard (in Dutch).

Official channels: the data is also sent to the national WOW-BE platform and the well-known international networks (such as Weather Underground and PWSweather).
